Tuba is the little Schuster & Co. Army model, the one that seems to get played the most these days. Except now a new horn might be shouldering it out: a 4V King Raincatcher. Amazing playability and sound.

Well, maybe not everyone*, but you're on the right track.

Welcome to the Happy Jumbo Owners' Club. :)

*Gotta take into account that some people's back, shoulder, etc. would not be so happy with a Jumbo. So far, so good on mine.

Me and my Rudy CC. Love it! Pardon the outfit. It was quite hot in the studio down in the basement that summer. :tuba:

Two pics, one with my new PT20P, and the other with my Melton/Meinl Weston 186 BBb at the 2013 Akron TUBACHRISTMAS. Side note, I had a Christmas tree on my bell. Definitely my best decoration this far, aside from my fireplace and mantel I put in my sous the year before.

Here's a pic of me and my beloved Conn (1917) with a nickel silver body and gold wash bell. This thing plays like a dream.

Pic player snapped this last Sunday, as we set up for Them Basses. Dunno what I was doing - probably setting slides, since I'd just picked it up - had been playing euph till then.
My son's on the shiny Conn 20k borrowed from his high school, but the three beaters are mine. :)

Cool pic my girlfriend took. This could totally be an album cover! If they still made albums. And they needed to be covered. And if I ever recorded one.

They still make albums, Al, and they DO have to be covered!
Do you often play in Kensington Market, or just for Pedestrian Sundays?

Nice to hear from ya!

I'll be playing at Kensington tomorrow morning until the afternoon with Ryan Baer (formerly of Tuba Skinny). He'll be on percussion, steel guitar, harmonica and vocals. I'll tuba... Just tuba.
Would love to see you there! And anyone else as well, of course! I'm having such a riot doing these street gigs. Love 'em.

That pic was from July 1 when I decided that I'd rather get a little money while I practice. More lucrative than my practice room! :)
