Bell's unique approach to the Carnival of Venice on his original solo album gets my vote.

Any Bill Bell recording gets my vote. But why so many threads? Wouldn't it be more practical to create one only one thread asking for all of these in one post?

Re: Favorite Bill Bell recording?
Every recording of his that I've heard is amazing. My buddy went to the University of Michigan in the early 80's, studied with Abe Torchinski. He told me one day during a lesson Abe puts a record on of Bill Bell, as says "listen to that, listen to that...I was there - he's playing like that after a very, very long lunch".
