I now have two "Holtons" at home! The one on the left is a Holton Monster Eb bell and bottom bow on a King 2341 body/valve set. I sent it home with Dan Schultz after the Windjammers Circus Band Meet we had here in Lincoln, NE. Dan took all the dents out, aligned the valves, did a lot of other little things to it, but most importantly, added some extra tubing on the back to play it in Bb without needing the tuning bit like I was before. I'm a little nervous, as I have never owned a dent-free tuba!
The other (and far more precious) Holton is our new baby boy! Holton Henry Luke was born about two weeks ago and is adored by his three older sisters. So now I have two "Holtons" in my "stable!"

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving's probably not for you.
The Holton on the right looks to be 'dent free' for sure.
Miraphone 5050 - Warburton BJ/RF mpc YEP-641S(recently sold), DE mpc (102 rim; I-cup; I-9 shank) Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches: "Always play with a good tone, never louder than lovely, never softer than supported." - author unknown.
I can't believe I added the harness loop to the back of the horn and forgot to remove the one on the front!

Current 'stable'... Rudolf Meinl 5/4, Marzan (by Willson) euph, King 2341, Alphorn, and other strange stuff.
The Big Ben wrote:Holton is a good name! Glad you didn't name him "Jug, Jr."!
Haha, it's funny you say that because I like the name Grumman (for the aircraft manufacturer), but my wife vetoed that one. She said we can name a dog Grumman.
And no worries about the strap ring Dan, for some reason I kinda like it there.

I had a kitten named Kali that I acquired around the same time I picked up a Kalison K2001. Unfortunately, Kali liked to to roam the neighborhood and eventually must have gotten a better offer.
