What make tuba is this and is it worth my time?

It's a no name chinese tuba sold by someone who has no knowledge of tubas and has an embarrassingly bad positive feedback score.

I believe the ebay seller, under a different name, is one of the sponsors of this forum. The advice to try before you buy is really the best way to approach this decision. Several sponsors sell instruments that may meet your needs and budget.

Mr. "Brassbass" shows up every year at the Army Tuba Workshop at the end of January in Arlington, VA, and I imagine he may appear at various other tuba events. You can talk to him and try his various instruments, and buy one on the spot if you like it. You can also try a lot of other makes and models from other dealers, and the workshop is free.

Check the for sale listings. Go back a few pages or search for Gerard Schneider. Save you a couple grand for a good instrument.
