Dvorak Stabat Mater

Post by miketuba »

Hi gang,

Playing this work later this week - I was just informed by the contractor that the part was missing form the set that was sent to him. Does anyone have a PDF of the part? It's not in the Cherry Classics collection.

Thanks - Mike

Never mind - what in the hell was Dvorak thinking? 12 bars in the 3rd movement only doubling bass trombone at the octave (sometimes at the unison).

Me thinks he had a tuba buddy that needed a job.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

It's better than the New World Symphony.

I used to think the tuba part of New World Symphony was copyist error.

I've played this piece before and seem to remember a more substantial tuba part - anyone have experience with this piece?
