Today I had my Antoine Curtois saxhorn in my hands. I didn't play it for quite a long time as a friend of mine had it. As I'm not sure how old it is, I checked the serial number, which is 3841 (should I write 3***? ). Searching the internet, I didn't find a list of serial numbers for Antoine Courtois serial numbers. I found an old thread from 2002 dealing with the same question (http://www.chisham.com/tips/bbs/apr2002 ... 92711.html) but no answer as well.
Any ideas?
I also found a nice picture of Antoine Courtois' shop in Paris. Unfortunately there is no date mentioned.
Ah, and this is my saxhorn:
