I'm selling my B&S PT-605S, Model GR51, BBb Rotary tuba so I can concentrate on my CC playing. I bought the horn from Custom Music back in early January of 2006 at the Florida Music Educators Association Convention. It has been a great horn for me...just time to move on in my playing. It only has one good ding in the bell, should be able to be taken out if you want to do it. It's a big horn...I'm 6'3" and I feel it's perfect for me. With the instrument in such decent shape, I'm going to start by asking $6,000 for the horn, plus a black Altieri gig bag in excellent shape and a Schilke 69C4 mouthpiece. A brand new model lists for $7,345 in yellow brass on Dillon's website, Lee Stofer has one listed on his website for $6,500, also yellow brass, and his horns are gone over meticulously! Come on Gang...this horn is in Silver and is $2,000 less than a new one!!!

I have one of these; I think they are flying just under the radar as a BBb Thor (same bell, etc) for half the money. Happy hunting.

I play a pt-600, which is the same horn with a larger bell flare, different finish and larger 4th valve bore. Great horn, buy it!

Agreed. Really responsive, solid, well-slotted tubas and this one is priced well. Someone should be really pleased with that.
