Removing Rotary Valves

Hi,

After succesfully figuring how to go about replacing some sub-quality linkages throgh Rick Denny's 'do it yourself' link posted a few weeks ago. I was, while the linkages were disassembled, thinking how nice it would be to just pop out the valve on swish them through paint thiner as I've seen Alan Baer do to my horn many-a-time. Does anyone have or know of a good site, or want to take the time to walk an amatuer through the process?

I'd strongly suggest either letting a good repair tech do it or at least show you how it's done the first time---there are just too many ways for you to screw up without guidance. It's not rocket science but at least learn what you are doing beforehand. JMHO

use a BIG hammer

it helps get the rotors out
