Spanish Solo Literature

I was wondering what is available as far as repertoire for solo tuba, with or without accompaniment.

I am more interested in the correct usage of Spanish, as in the European style. I am seeking information regarding solo works that may or may not have been written by composers from Spain, but are written in a Spanish style. I am willing to look at pieces in a Spanish flavor. Sorry, my post was intentionally vague in order to attract all of the options that you specified.

I'm just looking for music to play that could potentially be considered in the Spanish style. It's not an assignment, I'm just looking for something to work on.

One piece that comes to mind that is not by a Spanish composer, but definitely has Spanish style and influence is Reminiscences de Navarre by French Composer Joseph Edouard Barat (who you might know from his more popular Introduction et Danse). The piece is about a region of Spain that was once its own independent kingdom, and has much of the "Spanish style" to it.

Searching a couple of my go to sites for purchasing solos, I could not find much by Spanish composers. If you are including arrangements of works not originally composed for tuba, Walter Hilgers has done several arrangements of pieces by Albeniz that are probably very good (I have no familiarity with them). Also, though not Spanish, Editions BIM has a Portuguese Composers Series in which there are three works for tuba: XL by Carlos Azevedo, SoNotas by Francisco Loreto, and Allegro Sonata by Telmo Marques. I have no familiarity with these works, but they may be similar to what you are seeking. It looks like we need more Spanish Solo literature!

I have been residing in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas for the past two years and am currently working a group Spanish/Mexican songs (vocal) transcribed for solo tuba with piano (and/or guitar) accompaniment. Composers include Albeniz, de Falla, Ponce, and Barrios. I can't decide whether to publish them in one collection.... or in suites by composer. But... they should be in print by mid-year 2015.

I will add that this is a very underdeveloped area. There are definitely opportunities to transcribe/arrange/edit marvelous pieces of music by Spanish/Hispanic/Mexican composers.
