I've never seen any purpose in listing more than one of anything at a time. After all... it IS an auction.

Probably a re-seller has the same dollar amount bid on all of them, probably a few dollars shy of their cost.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
