USAF Band flash mob

Post by Ace »

Here's a USAF Band video that is really nice to listen to. The opener, "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" is performed beautifully, a piece that is not only seasonal but relevant for every day of the year. (My high school band played this at State in 1952.) "Joy to the World" is the closer. The final chord is overwhelmingly resonant. Great sound from the tubas.

I thought that was going to be a video from this year's... didn't they just do one again?

I think it's a great idea, to bring concerts to people who otherwise wouldn't necessarily come to one. We all need to cultivate new audiences or live concerts are going to continue dying.

Yes Doug, they did one on December 3rd. It's even better. Can't believe they memorized all of that.
