Drum Machine
Drum Machine
Is anyone using a drum machine instead of a metronome? If so, which one are you using and why are you using it instead of a metronome? Do you think the extra cost is worth it?

Re: Drum Machine
I was offered a Dr. Rhythm in a straight-across trade for my Dr. Beat. After two hours of poring through the two (!) instruction manuals, I returned the DR and took my DB back.Mark wrote:Is anyone using a drum machine instead of a metronome? Drum machines and any pre-recorded tracks that we play along with take spontinaiety (spelling?) away from our performance. For stage shows and
short-handed bands they add a lot but bog down the artistry of any performance. My bunch had this stuff grinding along with us for too long and we chucked it all for a slimmer sound and a chance to change up to match our mood on a given evening and to make it more interesting and
challenging for us on stage every night.
