Seek immediate medical help for a 7th position lasting more than 4 hours...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

A friend of mine, a local trombone teacher, sent me an email with that same chart in it this morning. I had the same thought as Joe. I'm pretty sure he sent it as a joke. I hope so.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

I bet that wasn't drawn by a trombone player...
That would be a pretty wild trombone to own, that's for sure...

This is a position chart for natural trombone. Quite a rare instrument. They come in sets of seven. Their use has declined in recent years. Switching your (seating) position between trombones while playing a chromatic riff can be somewhat difficult.

No different than handbells. I can foresee churches soon having youth "natural trombone" choirs.Tabor wrote:This is a position chart for natural trombone. Quite a rare instrument. Only 7 positions - hardly worth a mention - Kama Suthra has many more.

Yes, but as My old trombone teacher Bruce Nelson used to say, 5th position, "the unknown position". That only leave 6 that we know of. Kind of mysterious.

The trombones come complete with the required disclaimer "WARNING: Do NOT ingest" sticker.

Is that why trombonists always have spray bottles of water, to water the slide to get it to grow?
