Piece for Tuba Solo

Post by Anterux »

I finished today a little piece for tuba.

In fact, in all these years of composition it is my first composition for a Solo instrument other them Piano or Harmonium...

I cant play it yet so the computer did the simulation (argh!)

I think it has nice stuff, but I would like some feedback.

How would you rank it in terms of difficulty/playability?

Some really nice writing; coherent and very playable. I'd love to get a copy.

sounds interesting. What software are you using to get the tuba sound? What I have sucks, and I'd like to find something else.

MA

edit: well actually that is a sillly question maybe. I'm listening to it on my computer at work, and I dont' know if it has its own software or if it somehow reproduces midi data that you did. I'm illiterate with computers except for my own little specialty of keeping the lights on in my city.

What I'm using is just FINALE 2005 with the soundfont that comes with it.

What you hear in your computer is what I hear here. it is an mp3 file. not a midi file.
Anything I can help with Finale just ask. It's a very nice software comparable with Sibelius and others. In some aspects is better, in others not so strait forward. but all in all is what I prefer.

thank you.
