It's a great work, and works even better in a resonant hall. The Rampal recording is second to none, but there's a terrific recording of Jim Self doing it, and it's an excellent teaching tool too.

Avoid on trombone.

I used to play it often in my college days, decades ago. I like my interpretation the best :tuba:
