Cerveny CCB 883 "Opera"

Just curious about this horn. Anybody have one? Anybody ever played one? Thoughts? Specs? It's been difficult to find very much on the interwebs.

I sort of like the adjustable clockwork springs and diminutive size.

Looks like a 5v piggy with a red brass bell. The 5th valve loop is still too short. A long whole step without the "long"

You're right, of course. So, it's the 4/4 (681?) valve section on a porcine bell.

Perhaps. Except that the ones I've played don't come close to either interval. Pretty much just a redundant 1st valve.

Why is everyone bitching about the 5th slide? Looks like there is about a 3" pull on the 5th slide........plenty for a "flat whole step".

The rose brass bell and clockspring rotors look classy to me. I like it

How often do we have to use that low C# in "real" music.

Reminds me of those band directors who require the low B foot on their kids' flutes. It's a rare note, and most of the time you can't even hear it.
