Hi-
Any idea what tuba a young Fred Geib is playing here? From 1909-NY Philharmonic. A B&F? An Alex? A Cerveny?
Thanks-

Mark,
It is a very compact Sanders CC.

How foolish of me....I should have known
Glad it is preserved!

PS. Actually quite a different looking CC Sander than the one Vince has from Helleberg...interesting...

I wish I could see that image; it seems to have been deleted.

There was a video available for viewing about a year ago which featured the NYPO under the direction of Henry Hadley. The orchestra was playing "Tannhauser" and Fred Geib was the tubist. I believe he was playing a very small Conn CC. Unfortunately, this video seems to be no longer available. Does anyone else remember this or is it a figment of my diseased imagination?

Mike, Is there possibly a current pic of this tuba. It would be fascinating to have a look.
