Well I have always been impressed with the lack of empathy on the part of this animal.

I've just heard this; I'm now buying the CD.kmorgancraw wrote:Ok this isn't only the best bass trombone, but the best (well, epic) brass recording, ever. Props to Jeannie Little on 3rd trombone and Vernon on bass.

If we are recommending bass trombone players who sound good playing really loud we could probably mention dozens of people because that is one of the easier things to do on the instrument. Some more who do/did that really well: Blair Bollinger, Don Harwood, Jeff Reynolds, David Herring, George Curran, etc.

Simply incredible how bass trombone can sound so "sweet" but still so powerful and almighty:))
Funny thing, James Markey and Charlie Vernon are my favorite bass trombonists ever. They play totally different:)))

There's a French Bass Trombonist called Guillaume Varupenne,he has a C.D.out call Beyond The Trombone. It's very good. You can get it from his web site just type his name.com. Here's a clip of him playing music from the C.D.call Vertiges by Marc Lys
