I wouldn't think people necessarily believe that. I think this post is more less just showing who won what job with what equipment out of pure interest. It is interesting to see what horns have have won jobs!

ECUorchbound, you're absolutely right. There is no underhanded motive here for the thread, just a good old fashioned compilation of horn/player victories.

As well as the HB-50 Perry uses a Hirsbrunner piston F (I'm not sure of the exact model)

If it's interesting after all that time......

I won my job (in 1983) on a Piggy - for everything. How times (and expectations) have changed...

But how many of these horns are used by folks who have already won their auditions? Looks to me like a considerable number. Not the point, I know, but still . . .

Well, this isn't going to help sales.....
I think the price of the Yamaha 826 is what is preventing their sales, but then again, those that need it are in a niche market and if they need it, they'll pay for it.

I think it would be interesting to track this same statistic across people winning college teaching jobs.

Chris Tiedeman won (earned) the President's Own position on his Getzen G-50. This was in 2001-2002.

Horns are listed with "nothing", and Piggies are ignored. Blasphemy!

A degree which is, significantly I reckon, only awarded honoris causa.
