Notice that it says "Sold by Music 123". Walmart's been hosting sales from other companies on their site for a while.

Probably because the arrangement is for Music123 to list ALL of their stuff on WM's site. Just one big dump, with no sorting or paring down to what's reasonable for the demographic.GregTuba79 wrote:Still, WHY? The demographic makes zero sense...no one goes to Walmart.com to buy a $10k horn...or any horn for that matter. Maybe a Squire electric guitar...GC wrote:Notice that it says "Sold by Music 123". Why? WM sees Amazon with outside listings and sees a chance to make a buck.

Great!
Now all we need are tuba players added to the "People of Walmart"...

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

WWBW low brass sales are down since the closing of the retail store several years ago. They're just trying to increase their footprint to see if people will buy a horn without ever having played it.

Why does it matter? Market freedom and free enterprise. The almighty dollar is what free enterprise is all about. Either someone buys one or they don't. What difference does it make?

Amazon is doing the same thing, various links to other retailers...makes you wonder if SAMs club might be the cheapest.

Re: Walmart Sells Tubas?
FWIW I've known several brass players who shop at Walmart, at least now and then. Since virtual listings cost next to nothing, I might list on Walmart if I were in their position, and I would NOT be surprised to hear they have sold some tubas. (But I wouldn't be surprised if that hadn't, either.)
