King Pit Tuba Model 1280

Post by sjsilverman »

I own a King Symphonic Pit Tuba ( model 1280 ) and am thinking of selling it. It is aquite rare and unusual 1930's BBb tuba as many know.

I cant seem to find any recent records on them coming up for sale, auctions or otherwise. Anyone recall a price on one?

I know that is an open question. My instrument is in reasonable, unrestored shape but plays quite well.

Talk to Dan Schultz (Tubatinker) or Mark Jones (bisontuba). Both of these guys know more about the King Pit tuba than probably anyone else. Dan has sold one on here in the past year or two... great guy, I'm sure he'll help you out.
