Re: Question on Dillon Mirafone Clone Horns
I rather think that is NOT made by Jinbao. Does not look like clone of any Miraphone I have seen either

Re: Question on Dillon Mirafone Clone Horns
Seems quite a nice horn to me... with even an engraved serial number (?). Nice looking guards too. Only valve linkings seem a little thin (Chinish ?) And how does it play ? Main dimensions ? (yeah... can it be bought somewhere..?) .

So, I was the Seller. I was never able to find any more info about this, and have never seen another one of these for sale. Maybe Matt will weigh in. I always liked this horn, and thought it played pretty well.

Re: Question on Dillon Mirafone Clone Horns
Gregtuba79,
That tuba you have is a clone of a RUDOLF MEINL RM43-4 BBb tuba. 17" bell and .748" bore. That was a great horn but we had to stop carrying it when the better employees left that particular factory and the quality control went to crap. I had noticed a decline in the last batch we carried and had to spend a lot more time making them right to sell. Thank goodness our supplier gave us the heads up to stop carrying it instead of us getting stuck with a big order of crap. Looks like you got one of the better earlier ones. Enjoy.

Owns old tubas that play better than what you have.

Re: Question on Dillon Mirafone Clone Horns
Is the Rudy Meinl 43-4 clone (either CC or BB flat) still being made?
