National Brass Ensemble

For those of us that got to be in Chicago Sunday, what a concert. Gene, Mark, and Yasuhito played beautifully. This was my first time to hear Yasuhito play and he was right there with the other two every step of the way. (Not that I expected the principal of Cleveland to stink) The CD is excellent as well. Thanks to our friends in San Fran for getting this going, and I hope it's not the end....

Judging by the photo, I must have been within a few seats of where you sat. I was blown away by how good the beginnings of pieces were.

I agree. I also really enjoyed the John Williams... But the Vedi overtures were wild...

I was fortunate enough to be there. It was absolutely fantastic. It was also neat to meet all of the players. It was probably the best brass concert I've ever attended. I do hope they record the Verdi pieces. I was kinda bummed they were not on the CD.
