Is it like that "new tire" feel you get when you drive home from Discount Tire?

More like the feeling you used to get as a kid, taking off your roller skates and putting tennis shoes back on. Walking out of the roller rink felt like walking on clouds.

Playing without crap in the horn...what a concept ;0)

Then again (and I'm sure YOUR equipment is all in top shape), there are some people who count on all that "gunk" to seal up all the holes... :P
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

It's psychological, Joe. You just THINK your tuba plays better!

The answer probably depends on the amount and nature of the gunk that comes out during the cleaning. If it's just some minor green slime and black gunk, then it's more likely a psychological effect. If it's chunks of weisswurst, shreds of sauerkraut, particles of various kinds of nuts, beef jerkey, etc., then it may not be psychological.

For a more dramatic difference, you can leave the snake in the horn for three months...

I would be afraid of opening up all the leaks and pinholes that developed after the last time I did that! :P
