Does anyone have experience with Ritter or Ortola? I found them on thomann, and I really like the design of both brands.

Hello Tubnet,
These tuba gigbags made in Slovenia by Pema are some of the best in terms of function. The company sells them wholesale to dealers, but I think they will also sell to private folks as well. They are not as slick looking as some other firms, but they are tough and are easy to repair if needed.

Side question, do most people in Germany use top-loading gig bags? I'm not sure that I've seen any German-made side-loading gig bags. Seems like a crazy American concept.
Maybe rotary tubas should go in top-loaders, and piston tubas go in side loaders?

I own a Ritter gig bag it is a side loading bag that fits a BH Bbb Imperial.ASmith wrote:Does anyone have experience with Ritter or Ortola? I found them on thomann, and I really like the design of both brands.
The zip failed after two months the backback straps are very narrow and uncomfortable the entire bag sits very low on your back causing the bottom bow to strike my calfs when walking.
Not very good protection for the tuba.
Would not recommend it unless your on a very tight budget
Cant carry a tune but I can carry a tuba.
