Hey tubenetters,
I'm selling my handmade baer. It is a wonderful horn that has made playing most-anything easier. Wonderful, colorful, even sound from top to bottom, no strange pitch tendencies, and capable of the most extreme dynamics. I have owned a production model Baer prior to this one and the difference in sound, clarity, and ease, made this switch a no-brainer for me. I am selling because I do not feel that keeping this horn will be worth it given my recent change in career direction and goals, or fair to someone else who could have this kind of horn! Several folks have played this horn and probably can offer their viewpoint on this BAT as well. Pics to come in a day or two.
Price: $22,500 for horn and gig bag. Horn is PVAKed, has vented valves, and has a cut fifth slide for better intonation.
Cosmetics: Some natural plate-ware and minor scratches. Two spots have more wear because of how it has been held by me and the previous owners of the horn (Top bow and inner wrap. Will show in pictures).
Would be willing to entertain trade + cash for the right horns (Besson 995/2, Pt-6P, MRP-CC piston, bigger belled Thor, etc).
Horn is located in Ithaca, NY. I would rather not ship the horn, but will drive halfway (within a reasonable distance) to meet someone if that would make it more manageable.
PM if interested or email: jchervo1@ithaca.edu" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
Serious inquiries only please! Thanks for looking!
