I know I'm bringing up an old thread here, but I did fix up the Marzan from Ebay. The pictures are posted on our website at: http://merlingrady.com/projects/marzanbbb.html

I pulled the piston set and sent it to Anderson for refitting. I disassembled most of the horn, took dents out, and rebuilt it. It's actually a great sounding horn, very even through all registers, and has excellent intonation. It doesn't look half bad either. I stripped the detachable bell so I could anneal it, then decided to leave it raw brass rather than spend the time refinishing. It'll darken a bit and match the rest of the horn anyway. Now all that is left to do is find it a good home.

Thought you folks might be interested,

BRAVO! Another 'survivor'. I still have both a 'slant-rotor' and a piston Marzan. They really are good horns.
