Question about Torchinsky Shostakovich book(s)

Post by pjdicris »

Hello!

I have a question about the above mentioned book(s).

How many books deal SPECIFICALLY with the works/symphonies of Dmitri Shostakovich (I'm assuming only 1 or 2 volumes), and concerning symphonies, do these contain all 14 parts (symphonies 1 thru 13 and then 15) or do these stop at a specific number?

Thank you! :tuba:

Volume 14 covers Symphonies 1 - 7
Volume 15 covers Symphonies 8 - 12

Have the latter two symphonies (that include tuba parts- 13 and 15) ever been included in a book or elsewhere that was ever for purchase?

It seems strange for Mr. Torchinsky to not include these two, especially with the big solo in the fourth movement of Symphony no. 13.
