Recently bought a #6 Schlipf mute from Lee this past Wednesday and received it Monday, which was packed very well I might add. Talking to Mr. Stofer was also a pleasant experience as I always enjoy talking about tuba repair and design.
Great Service
Prompt Delivery
And one of the most pleasant guys you could talk to
Thanks Lee!

How do you like the mute? I've been thinking about getting one myself.

Re: Shout out to Mr. Stofer
I think i owe Mr. Stofer a shout out in some form as well.
I don't know how many people would keep the shop open New Year's Eve afternoon to accomodate someone driving cross country, but that's what he did for me.
I also owe tubenet some updates on what was in my car at the time, which i've been very slow on.
But while the tuba conference is still going on, i should ask if he finished work on the Holton (one similar to viewtopic.php?f=3&t=70069), which he was considering at the time, and if so, how it turned out.
How'd it turn out?
