Not sure if there's a rule, but the convention seems to be about once a month-ish, unless there's new info to impart (lowered price, different terms, etc)

Bump for updated pricing. It'll be staying at $3000 at least until the end of July, after which I may raise the price. (this is actually less than I'm comfortable with but I really need the new tuba before the end of summer)
