University Job Interview
I will be interviewed for a position as the tuba instructor at a local university in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea as to what I may expect, i.e. interview questions, playing/teaching demonstrations, etc. Thanks.

Most interviews include you playing a short recital (15 minutes or so), you teaching a lesson, a meal with the search committee, and some formal interviews. Most of the questions tend to be about your long term goals and how this job fits into those goals. Other questions may include how you would track progress, materials you would use in studio, and maybe some questions about your teaching style. Once it has been determined that you are qualified for the position, the interview is more about how you would fit into the program.
