For Sale: 1918 Holton “Standard” BBb
This is a three-piston top-action BBb tuba in bright silver finish. The bell diameter is 19”. Hetman synthetic lubricants are used throughout. The valves are copper-plated and function smoothly. The tuning slides are free. The lead pipe has been raised off the bell to improve clarity of tone. The instrument has a bright voice, quick response, easy blow, and excellent presence. The finish is overall very good. The leadpipe is raw brass. There is no case.
