FS: Meinl Weston 2250TL F tuba

I am selling my Meinl Weston 2250 TL piston F tuba. It was purchased new about 9 months ago. It is in mint condition. There are no dents or scratches. It plays like a dream and it was my best pick after trying tubas from Adams, B&S, Miraphone, Gronitz, and Melton. Unfortunately, I have to sell the horn because I must change from piston to rotary.

Considered the ‘hotrod’ of 2250’s, this exclusive model was designed by award winning soloist Thomas Leleu. The 2250TL is versatile, able to dominate in both the low and high register. Its sound blends the projection of traditional rotary F tubas, with the fullness of sound the 2250 line is known for.

Unique to the 2250TL is an exclusive handgrip, allowing one to easily carry the horn. Cosmetically, the instrument features hand engravings of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Its specifications are:
• F-Tuba
• "French Touch" model
• 6/4 size
• 4 front action piston steel valves, 1 rotary valve
• bore: 19mm / .748”
• 4th valve: 20mm / .75˝
• 5th valve: 20.5mm / .807˝ (thumb operated)
• bell diameter: 42cm / 16.5˝
• yellow brass
• special handhold
• special engraving "French Touch"
• silver-plated

The tuba costs $13, 645 new with soft case. I’m asking $10,500. No trades will be considered. The tuba is located in Temperance, Mi. I am not interested in shipping the tuba, but would drive a reasonable distance to meet a prospective buyer. E-mail any questions you may have to KevinF (at) MSPro (dot) com.
