You said the Cerveny is leaking air? From Where?
One week they love me.
Next week they hate me.
Both weeks I got paid.

Hard to tell from the pics, but the Kroner might be a B&S. Both should be good players when fixed.

I was in Pittsburgh several weeks ago, if I'd known..................

Isn't Kroner a B&S stencil name?

Those are both really tempting...I've always wanted to try a big BBb like that...

Yes. Herr Kroner may have been a Markneukirchen-area instrument builder in the old days, whose shop was folded into what became B&S.

This thread has the running list of B&S stencil names we have so far:

CMC used a Kroner nameplate on some Cerveny product, as well. I even remember gluing literal nameplates on a batch of Amatis that Fred bought from Giardinelli. I suppose if you could find one of those, it might have some collecting value...

I have a Cerveny 601 Bflat like this and it's awesome! Fixed up, it should play very well.

I am very picky about my tubas and this was a great addition to my stable. I have been warming up on this tuba and it makes playing my Nirschl even easier. Whoever said warm up on the biggest thing you have is a genius. It forces you to move air and work a little more to get a sound, then when you switch back to something a bit smaller, it's way easier to get what you want out of the smaller horns.

I will work on getting a video up of me playing the same thing on both my big tubas so people can hear the difference. For now, Tom McGrady has 2-3 up on youtube if you search cerveny 601, it should come up.
