Hello! I'm selling my lacquer 5450 Thor model. I have owned it for about 4 years now, and I used it in a college setting for most of that time. I have taken great care of it (cleaned/tuned up yearly), and apart from a few small dings and some scratches it is in great condition.
I have played this horn in everything from a brass quintet to a large wind ensemble to a small orchestra, and now I'm currently playing it once a week in a local brass band. I have never been disappointed with the way it controls the air I give it and the projection with which it plays. I need to sell it because I'm leaving the country for school for the next four years, and I'd like to pay off the debt I have on it before leaving. I'd keep it if I could!!
It comes with a Meinl gig bag (never steered me wrong), and I'm looking for $11,500 shipped OBO (meaning I will pay shipping). If you have time (another week or so), I'll have it professionally cleaned one more time before it gets to you, although it was just cleaned in August.
The horn is currently located in St. Paul, MN, and if you would rather drive to get it I'll pay gas within reason (or drive it to you and take that out of the 11.5k). Either way, I'm committed to getting you the horn safely! This is priced to sell, and it's in great condition- consider it like new but broken in for you.
