Handmade Yorkbrunner for sale

I am selling my 1985 handmade Yorkbrunner. I bought the instrument from Wes Jacobs in 2011. I got into the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Music Academy of the West, and the Aspen Music Festival on this horn. I have also played it as a sub in the Chicago Symphony.

Here is some info from Wes from when I purchased the horn:

"I purchased this instrument directly from Hirsbrunner in 1985. It was build by hand in the last batch of hand built instruments. Peter Sr. and Marcus Haeller constructed the instrument. I have been VERY careful with the instrument over the years. It has never been repaired and it is very clean. I would rate the condition as excellent. You can hear this horn on every Detroit Symphony recording after 1985 (except where I played either F or Eb tuba)."

What key is the horn in? I'm guessing it's a CC based on my very limited knowledge of determining the key of a tuba on sight.

Not the original poster, but it is in CC. These instruments are copies of one of the two 6/4 York CC tubas owned by the Chicago Symphony. You can find more info by searching the forum if you are curious about these tubas.

I would say these horns are more the interpretation from Peter Hirsbrunner of the York CC tuba now owned by the Chicago Symphony. An excellent horn in it's own right but a copy it isn't.
