FS: Miraphone M5050 Ambassador Edition Euphonium $5800 SOLD

Post by Aaya »

For sale is my used Miraphone M5050 Ambassador Edition Euphonium. I bought this horn new and has served me really well throughout my education at Baylor and U of Michigan. Here are the specifications given on the Miraphone Website.

Model M5050 Ambassador Edition
piston valves
4 valves (3R1L)
upright
yellow brass
silver plated
gold plated small parts
compensating
ergonomic handling of 4th valve (3rd valve slide closer to body)
trigger on main tuning slide
water key on 1st and 3rd valve slide

The following links will take you to a few pictures of the horn.

Overall I have really enjoyed playing this horn! The horn plays really well in tune, while still being very flexible. The amount of sound you can put out on this big horn without distorting the sound is really impressive, and I especially enjoy the response and evenness of tone in the low/extreme low register. It's unlike any other horn I've tried in that regard!

The horn does have standard wear where the hands touch, as well a few little nicks. There is also a couple of big scratches on the bottom bow from being negligent while giving it a bath once (pictured above.) I also had to have the 4th valve finger button replaced as it broke off in the case a while back.

I'll also include the hard case and the sweet Miraphone gig bag specifically designed for this horn. Horn is located in Ann Arbor, MI. I'd be more than glad to drive/meet someone half way for a serious buyer!

Asking $5800, OBO. Serious inquiries only, please!

If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures, please feel free to email me at aeliz@umich.edu" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank.

Thank you,

Angel Elizondo
