They make Yorkbrunners in BB flat? I'd be interested in seeing a new or used model.

Yep.... it's called a BBb Holton 345...

Holton? I only play Hirsbrunner, 'cause they're the gooder than the rest.

Well, I hate to tell you this, but Hirsbrunner doesn't make a BBb version of the Yorkbrunner. The Holton 345 is a BBb copy of the York and to my knowledge was the only BBb copy ever made. I have one, see my avatar... it plays gooder too!

Does anyone else wish that they would make a BB flat york copy of the same quality as the CC york copies? That would make it alot easier to not switch to CC, knowing that something that good was out there.

Some of the BBb holtons can be played to good effect.if you don't like those, maybe the big BBb Gronitz...

I was talking more ease of finding them. I also think that newer horn technology might possibly fix some of the intonation issues that the old horns are famous for.

my holton has a new MW/vmi Big valveset on it and it still has some "issues" but none that can't be managed.once you've played a horn awhile your brain seems to figure out what to do and intonation becomes somewhat automatic.I don't recall any owners of the more modern Yorkalikes bragging about great intonation. it's usually the sound they dig. I think Bloke really likes the intonation of his big CC gronitz...
