Looking for F or Eb Tuba

Post by tubaguy4 »

I am a college student looking trying to perform and trying to prepare for graduate school audition. Thus, I am looking for either an F or Eb horn for myself. I'm looking for advice and/or input from anyone (especially those with a similar experience to myself) as well as any leads to where I can find a good quality horn for a reasonable price. Feel free to comment. Thanks a ton.

@mctuba1 I currently have a Miraphone 188 CC tuba and no Eb or F horn (thus I have a little less to go off of). As far as price goes I would like to see about keeping it under $4000-$4500 (while being good quality) but as always the case while I am in school, the lower the price the better.(without sacrificing quality of coarse).

Thanks for the response.

Check out this Mack Brass Horn. Fits your budget and has received favorable reviews.

The Wessex Berg has received positive reviews as well.

If I were buying an Eb right now I would like closely at the Gnagey Eb offered by Wessex.

Or talk to Bloke about the Packer Eb

Bloke also has a nice Besson Eb on this site for $3950 that is an absolute steal at that price IMO.

Best wishes in your search.
