Alexander Vintage F tuba 4+1, with meinl weston flight case

Post by EMC »

This is a fantastic example of an Alex f tuba it has a very colorful sound throughout the ranges and a suprisingly good low register the low C and B aren't perfect but they don't take much work at all to center, better than the typical German rotary f tuba. It has four clockwork spring rotors and then a fifth rotor for the left hand has been added by Dan Schultz, It's also had some work done on it by Lee Stofer who had plenty of good things to say about the horn as well. I've used this horn in just about every ensemble I play in and despite its size it's can put out a disproportionate amount of sound and will work in everything except the largest of ensembles, however I find it is most home in quintets quartets brass choir and of course makes as a solo instrument.
Asking $5000 and I am now including the meinl weston flight case as well as either a breslmair f3 rudy meinl 7.8 or bruno tilz f9 mouthpiece. Ill post pictures of it in the case in a bit

Bump for pics, In full disclosure I'm selling this horn to buy another, and if the other happens to go off the market before that time so will this one!
