Mack TU-210L or similar BBb

Post by uncleoce »

Hello all,

I'm trying to get back into the tuba game after not playing for the past 16 years or so. I don't have a huge budget, so the Chinese tubas seem to be a good option. I used to have a Miraphone 186 CC 5 valve in college, but I think I would prefer to stick with a BBb for now. CC never became second nature, whereas I can still remember fingerings for BBb without much effort.

I specifically like the size of the Mack TU-210L. I emailed one member who has this particular horn for sale on this site, but haven't heard back. If anyone else has one, please let me know. I'd be interested in other BBb horns, as well, provided the price is right. If push comes to shove, I'll just order a new one from Mack Brass, but for now I'm hoping I can save a lot with a used horn.

Cheers,

Josh

I have a nickel silver Schiller version of the JB 210. It's in excellent condition and comes with the original case. The tuba plays well and the rotary valves are quite good. $1400 plus shipping. Pics can be found in my post in the FS section. "Schiller and Wessex fleet" Here's the link for pics: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/k4kl5fkn4oag ... N_Tia?dl=0" target="_blank

Still looking, uncleoce?
I have a Miraclone similar to Mack's TU-200 (not 210) that I am selling for around $1100. Can work with you on pickup in the Eastern US.
