This is the junior model, right? O-99 equivalent.

Ooh that's weird. The depicted 170 (like 172 but lacquer finish) has a tuning slide before the valves, and generally the valve tubing doesn't look like other Reynolds.
But on review of those other Reynolds - for which I mainly rely on Contempora Corner - I see this one does look like their '36-'49 era big tuba. The loop at the top of the 3rd valve threw me, they straightened that out in subsequent generations.
