SOLD - Mira 184 with prototype 2182 bell

Post by Ben »

FS: 1972 (iirc) Mirapfone 184 C 5v. (2 whole step 5th). Bell swap with a 2182 prototype (courtesy of C. Olka) done at Dillion by M. Walters.

The 2182 prototype bell is ~15", and attaches to the horn via a collar created from a Conn Eb. The horn is tall due to this fact. The main slide and leadpipe were shortened slightly to accomodate the longer stack. It plays well in tune. While shortening the leadpipe, a standard American shank receiver was installed, replacing the smaller original.

Solid little horn. Valves in great shape. I have no complaints about the horn. It likes a Stofer Geib.
