FS: Trombone - Bach 42B

Post by sliphorn »

Ladies & Germs…

I have a Bach 42B for sale. Good player, for sure. Not really a looker, mind you, but it has that Bach feel and sound so many love. Lacquer is on the low side.

This horn comes with a older style wooden Bach case (brown). A different case can be had for a price adjustment.

Here are some pictures:

The valve works well and is mechanically sound. The action is also amazingly quiet and tight.

BACH:

A former crease, long since ironed out. It might be possible to erase the scar by stripping and buffing, but I didn't bother:

A few smallish dents in the crook, but most of the horn is very good, indeed. Very few dents:

So the pictures tell the story. Like I said, it's a good player and I'm happy to sell it for a fair price. As usual, I'm happy to consider trades.

My preferences:

* I will pay CONUS shipping unless you need expedited service, etc.
* I strongly prefer to ship CONUS, but will consider shipping overseas
* I consider trades of professional-level instruments but prefer PayPal
*Buyer pays PayPal fees, if any
* I like email more than the PM system. Send a PM and if we end up exchanging a lot of info, we should take it to email

Sale fell through but may resume in a month (buyer had unexpected auto bills). Until then, the horn is back on the market. Please send your trade/cash offers, and thank you for the continued interest!

Hope it goes to a good home! Technically, wasn't this a 42BLT? Or did bach not use that designation back then?
