Hey guys, I'm selling my Wessex "Danube" Model Eb tuba. Its been a great tuba that's served me for the past year, but I'm looking for something a bit more high end for my purposes. Condition is like new; there isn't a scratch or ding on it. The only thing differentiating it from a show horn is that the main tuning slide has been shortened by 4 inches, since I simply could not get the horn to play anything less than 20 cents flat. Since its shortening, the intonation is much better! If you find that everything is sharp for you, I'd be happy to cover the costs to revert the tuba to its original length. I am currently asking for $3,000 (negotiable). That includes the horn, the case it came with, and two mouthpieces: The one it came with (Wessex F1, gold plated) and a PT-20 mouthpiece, which I have found to be a piece that works great with the horn. Both mouthpieces are in like new condition with the exception of "the ring" around the shank. Currently, the horn is located in Northern VA, but it will be migrating to Lexington, KY very soon. Thank you all so much!
EDIT: This horn is now under consignment with Baltimore Brass Company for $2995

Also, for those interested in a recording of the horn in action, here is my last jury (about 2 or 3 weeks ago) playing the Penderecki Capriccio on the Danube
