Parker (Houser) Cantabile cup & US shank

Post by Ltrain »

I got this as an impulse buy a couple months ago because I love Parker/Houser stuff and wanted to try something new. I also thought I was going to buy a bass tuba when I picked this up, but that's no longer in the cards (getting more pop/dixie gigs and focusing on my low register right now).

This piece is designed for F/Eb horns and really sings based on the couple times I actually played it. Still very much like new. No rim. I can post a pic later.

$135.00 shipped CONUS.

Or, willing to trade for other Parker/Houser pieces for contrabass tuba with standard shank. I prefer coated rims. A model of interest is the Sellmansberg Symphony cup/shank, or another large funnel/cup.

At this point, I just want to move this like-new mouthpiece (well, cup & shank). Make me an offer :)

I can't emphasize enough how great this would be for a bass tuba/small contra. Amazing clarity and control with this piece. Plus you have the option to get an XD rim and double the versatility!

Going on vacation in a week and want to mail this before I leave.

Bump for an excellent bass tuba mouthpiece from a guy who ended up getting a sousaphone instead of bass tuba! Also, price drop!
