Brass quintet and percussion

Post by Rivercity Tuba »

Guys,

I am looking for a source/publisher of music for brass quintet and percussion. Similar to Rhythm and Brass or Dallas Brass. Thanks in advance!

I played with Soverign Brass in Central Florida for three years awhile back. The leader/trombone player had been with Dallas and Rhythm and Brass on tours. Soverign was in that same mold with a percussionist/set player on just about everything. He did his own parts and luckily for us he's a great tasteful musician as well as an extremely fine set drummer and percussionist. So the good news is that you play what you play and the drummer enhances and supports it and the tough thing is finding someone like that who wants to do it. You might see if they have a website (I'm sure they do) and check them out. Hope it works out for you. Ed

You might look at http://www.dorm40music.com" target="_blank , where you'll find lots of arrangements by fellow TubeNetter Craig Garner. Search on "Brass Quintet with Rhythm" and see if there's anything you like.

A lot of the Brass Quintet music we publish will work with percussion, but it would have to be added by the performers.

The marches and many of the jazz tunes would be ideal. Good luck!
