Position/Job Summary

The Ithaca College School of Music announces a full-time, tenure-eligible position for a teacher-performer of tuba/euphonium beginning August 2017. Applicant must demonstrate excellence as a teacher of tuba/euphonium at the college level and demonstrate excellence in performance as a solo, orchestral and chamber music artist. Primary responsibilities will include teaching weekly lessons for both undergraduate and graduate students, coaching chamber music, teaching a weekly repertory class for tuba/euphonium majors, teaching tuba/euphonium methods to music education majors, and active participation in student recruitment. Teaching in other supporting areas such as, but not limited to, music history, music theory/composition, jazz or contemporary styles, entrepreneurship or music business, music technology, or creative arts liberal arts courses including first year seminars (ICSM) is required.

Position/Job Qualifications
Master's degree with collegiate-level teaching experience required. The chosen candidate will be expected to work effectively with faculty colleagues, serve on various School of Music and College committees, and establish ongoing professional activity as a recitalist and chamber music performer.
