kmorgancraw wrote:Before you go building another rotary tuba, please invest some effort into improving your valve linkage setups. Right now you've got some well designed tubas that play great, hobbled by less than impressive rotary valves. If Schiller can get real German Minibal linkages on their tubas I bet you can as well.
We have done back to back comparison using German Minibal linkages and they made no discernible difference. Previous rotary valve problems have been due to failings in process quality control and cleaning which have now been identified and addressed

I would be interested to see more collaboration with multiple 'Tuba whisperers'. I could only imagone what kind of ideas a meeting of the minds between the leading names in frankentubadom could come up with.

For me it would be a do all. I play a lot of 1st tuba parts in quintets and in ensembles, and find myself playing a great many baritone gigs these days. It would be nice to not have to take a different axe to every gig.

I agree a french c tuba would be a great all around horn, you could play euphonium parts while also covering tuba parts, it is the best all around instrument to do that.

How about a contrabass trumpet or a contrabass french horn both modeled after Roger Bobo's instruments

Is there a reason the Michigan is being discontinued?
It seemed to be a really solid horn.

The main reason is we have new piston valve BBb tuba of similar size of our own design coming out to replace in the Wessex range.

That shares the valve set of our CC Wyvern tuba, and will be similarly a great player and solid horn!

Ok, here is an easy one! With the pictures of horns on your website, include a schematic type picture detailing the dimensions of the instruments. Outer bow circumferences, widths, distance from point A to B etc. We want to be able to make sight unseen impulse purchases with confidence.
