Seems to be the opposite in intent from a Piggy . . .
I'd love to hear it. I bet it projects beautifully.

Thanks for pegging me weird-o-meter to full. I had never seen a horn like that...

Re: HN White KING "Pit Tuba"
Got to see your videos. Very nice!
As for the pit tuba, why not just use a tuba stand?

Re: HN White KING "Pit Tuba"
If you can get the part number of a broken or missing part, King still carried those in stock as of 2008. A friend ordered a third valve crook for a large bore rotary tuba (VERY rare) and got it within a month.

I have a base with a broken to sousaphone stand. Maybe we can work something out. Such as $1 and you pay shipping.

Re: HN White KING "Pit Tuba"
I have to say, this tuba is pretty wild, and you have a very accepting band director. In my experience, most times even a regular recording-bell tuba is shunned, and asked to not come back the next week.

I love the ad copy:

Kiltie, I think this tuba was designed for you. : )

Re: HN White KING "Pit Tuba"
I have one of these tall puppies, and I use one of those old adjustable height cradle stands made by Wenger in the 50s-60s. It is adjusted to be at the perfect height for me to play it standing up, or on a high chair/stool. Very stable, with 3 legs.
